Writer and broadcaster Chris Hayes (@chrislhayes) suggested that it had become harder to think of innovations that were a force for good without many of the attendant downsides of new products. The suggestions that came through included backup cameras, mapping technology and vegan burgers, but also some lighter-hearted submissions.
